Physical-to-Digital
Overview: Professional services from parent company Cintrex AV for basic conversion of your “physical” analog and earlier digital media recordings to new digital copies returned to you via web-download links, or placed in your LightJar account. The new files are suitable for sharing across the WEB or continued storage within LightJar.
Convert video and movie film to mobile-friendly MP4 files, images to JPG files, and audio recordings to MP3 files. The services are applicable for:
- Home movies on 8mm/16mm film, video tapes, DVDs, Blu-ray Discs, Camcorder Hard-drives, and SD Memory Cards;
- Video recordings on broadcast tapes such as Betacam, DVCPRO, DVCAM or U-matic tapes;
- Images on prints, photos, 35mm slides, and negatives; and
- Audio recordings on cassettes, vinyl LPs and CDs.
Service Delivery: From start to finish, the process takes 2 to 3 weeks. Upon completion, Cintrex will email you web links to your new digital files, or notify you when the new digital copies are placed in your LightJar cloud storage account. You will be able to download the files, share them across the web, post them online, or save them long term for future editing. Always make a backup copy of your files when you download them.
Pricing: Pricing varies, depending upon original media item type.
- 8mm and 16mm film = $0.15 per film foot
- Consumer video tapes, such as VHS, 8mm Tape, MiniDV, Betamax, etc. = $15 per video tape. (PAL or NTSC)
- Professional broadcast tapes, such as Betacam, DVCAM, DVCPRO, and U-matic = $25 per tape (PAL or NTSC)
- DVDs = $15 each
- Blu-ray Discs = $25 each
- MiniDVDs = $25 each
- SD Cards = $25 each
- Camcorder Hard-drives = $50 (per 5 hours of content)
- 35mm Slides = $0.45 each, extra large slides $1.00 each
- Photos and Prints = $0.25 each
- Negative Film Images = $1.00 each
- Compact Discs (CDs) = $10 each
- Audio Cassettes = $30 each
- Vinyl LPs = $30
- Box Specials – one bulk price for turnkey services on large collections = $500 to $1,300

Upload Support
Upload service for subscribers wanting to place TB’s of content into their LightJar account. The service fee is $50 per TB. Ship your hard-drives to us, and we will upload the content into your LightJar account for you. Backup Service for LightJar Collections
Back up your media collections in LightJar to a physical copy – a Blu-ray Disc or the option of LTO-6 tapes for larger collections. We return ship the backup media to you to put in a place of safekeeping, such as in a fireproof vault at home or in a safe deposit box at your bank. This service is helpful backup for today’s born-digital content, such as videos and photos taken on smartphones and uploaded directly into Cloud storage.
